Strong Czech Absinth
Strong Czech absinth was envisioned by Mr. Martin Sebor who suffered an untimely death in 2003. Being the genius that he was, he elaborated a special formula that allows a stronger concentration of thujone, absinth's main ingredient, a controversial herb used for over 2000 years for medicinal purposes.
He wanted to create a drink that would be of high quality, following the original formula of a hundred years old. This was no easy task as the many herbs contained in the elaboration of absinth can vary it's concentration depending on many factors, so accurately determining the exact quantity of an active ingredient requires extensive studies. More so if you consider that the original recipe contains over 25 herbs, most of them with medicinal qualities, so everything has to be measured and accounted for.
Public's recognition for this work was immediate, and as soon as Mr. Martin Sebor presented Strong Czech Absinth it became an overnight success. People were tired of the "absinth wanna bee", everybody wanted real absinth, made the right way. Because of the sudden growth of absinth, the industry has had a hard time keeping up with demand. Many resort to simple essential oil mixing to produce, something that looks like absinth so they can quickly sell it. Sometimes pressuring maceration with harsh chemicals. Many brands are known as "night club absinth" meaning its just for kicks and to get really drunk. This is why the idea of Strong Czech absinth was born.
Their policy is very simple, as usually pure genius is; the company is staying away of synthetics, of colorants and of anything that is not natural. This bonding with mother earth is brave, you will not taste artificial flavors, the taste is absinth as absinth is supposed to taste, not as a manufacturer thinks you'll like it better. Of course it has a mild bitter aftertaste, after all, wormwood is one of the most bitter plants known to man, only second to rue. It has no extra sugar added, why? Well, because it's not supposed to. So if you want to taste the real, honest to god truth, you will be right at home.
Strong Czech Absinth comes in many presentations, the most well know is its round bottle. The thujone levels are 10mg/kg average, and can be found with an alcohol content of 50-70%. It is produced in the Czech republic and shipped to all the world. With moderation, absinth con be a stimulating, healthy drink.
